Folk Music from Isan, Thailand

3 music videos from Isan, the northeastern province of Thailand.  The electric phin (3-stringed lute) playing is sometimes reminiscent of surf rock guitar.

Sublime Frequencies has released some good (but sold out) CDs and DVDs featuring music from Isan.
